Two Rules for Success
Saturday, December 1, 2007 I came across this great bit of advice today, and I thought I’d share it:
There are two rules for success in life:
Rule 1: Don’t tell people everything you know.

Yeah but make sureyou tell them what they need to know. Nothing pisses me off more than when someone gives you instructions and leaves out that one piece of info that would have been helpful and saved you HOURS! All this just so that they look good. I will and have sell them down the river when the time comes.
I forgot to comment on this post on my visit to your site yeseterday. This post made me laugh because this "rule" is something my dad has been preaching to his kids since we were little. My dad is a CPA and is one of the most careful and closed-mouth individuals you will ever meet. That isn't to say that he doesnt talk because he does but he is super-careful about talking about things he shouldn't. So, when my husband found a bumper sticker that had this rule on it he bought it for my dad who immediately put it up in his office. Everyone who knows my dad knows that this is his motto and its kind of a running joke. Anyway, you made me laugh.

I'm curious, what was rule #2?
Joan:
It's really just a silly post. I think the advice is given, and meant to be read, tongue-in-cheek. To understand "rule #2," re-read rule #1...
